VSUP PRAGUE - Two projects for rooms for free

The textile atelier of VSUP Prague is participating with two students from the 3rd year of textile design studies.

OBJECTS OF ORDINARY NEED

Everyday textile products with functional uses (kimono, bathroom side mat, etc) are situated in different connections and transformed into objects. Searching for expression, overlap, eternity, stability. The choice of materials, such as prefabricated metal plates, and the design approach perfectly correspond with the exhibition space. The objects seem to grow into each another. They look like forgotten fixtures of a factory hall.

Still in the idea stage: CONNECTION OF SPACES

This project has not yet got a concrete appearance. It is still in the stage of an idea. It will arise directly on site during the week preparing the exhibition. It proposes more of a conceptual approach.
We attempt to achieve a nonviolent, unobtrusive connection of spaces, something like the finalization of spatial decoration. Trails, touches, shadows of transience, resonances, details, particulars which are connected into the unit.

Thanks to Ivana Urbánková from the textile atelier at VSUP, Prague
