INTERDISCIPLINARY PROJECT FROM BUDAPEST
The Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design (MOME) in Budapest has formed an interdisciplinary group with students in their 4th year of design studies for textile printing, knitting, weaving, fashion and leather design.
They are working on the theme "remember the future" and are using different techniques to approach the subject: Some of them will try reviving ancient techniques, modernizing old patterns or revitalizimg traditional fashion cuts. They aim to expose 5 to 10 objects, from fashion and accessories (dress, shoes, bag,. .. ) to interior design, experimental textiles to applied textiles. Some of their ideas:
Remake of a Hungarian folk-tale in textiles
Spatial textiles made from old handcrafted techniques and hand-painted
Thanks to Bényei Tünde from MOME in Budapest
