ABSURD PICNIC Project idea from UIAH Helsinki

We are three textile art students from University of Art and Design in Helsinki, Finland and we are taking part in Rooms for free 06-exhibition. We received information about the project from our head teacher and there have been some meetings. Now we start working actively on this project . And we are very excited about it!

I'm textile master student and freelance designer Miira Zukale. I'm making my final work about my installation in Rooms for Free-exhibition. Terhi Kuusisto is a student in the textile department in her 4th year. Päivi Keto is textile art student and handcraft teacher.

We three are planning to make one installation for the exhibition. It's work name is "Absurd Picnic". It will be three-dimensional, graphical printed artwork, a kind of "landscape". We are going to use printed textile material, sewing, embroidery and other traditional techniques. We are also very interested about this opportunity to print textiles with digital printer.
Thanks to Miira Zukale, UIAH Helsinki, Finland
